This decision leaves intact the jury's unanimous 2023 verdict that he sexually assaulted and then defamed E Jean Carroll.
The allegations against Trump date back to 1996, but it was only in 2019 that Carroll went public with her claims. Since then, she has won two separate defamation suits against him, including a recent $83. 3m verdict.
